Scientific Program (Tentative)

The MEDSI School 2026 curriculum is structured to cover the complete lifecycle of synchrotron instrumentation. The program is divided into core modules led by international specialists, balancing theoretical foundations with practical engineering applications.

Note: A detailed daily timetable, including session times and social event slots, will be released closer to the event date.

Foundational Sessions for Young Engineers

The school will feature specialized lectures designed to bridge the gap for early-career specialists:

  • Overview of Major Beamline Components: A foundational session on how primary components integrate and function together within an X-ray beamline.
  • Best Practices in Project Delivery: A deep dive into the practical challenges and "lessons learned" in delivering complex instrumentation projects on time and to specification.

Learning Outcomes

By participating in this school, attendees will:

  • Learn: Master the hardware reality of modern light sources through expert-led technical modules.
  • Collaborate: Engage with a global network of peers and seasoned specialists from the world's premier light source facilities.
  • Inspire: Gain the vision and precision required to design the next generation of scientific discovery tools.
